St. Barbara Project

This project consisted in promoting the connection between two pre-existing houses developing a semi-covered path,

This circulation element develops between wooden elements and the adaptation of the existing stone support walls (valados).

Approximately in the middle of the path it was created a tea house, as an element of union between the two houses. A place where the two families could get together at the weekend, to have a snack or a tea and socialize a little.

The wooden structures suggest the existence of a path without harming the fabulous views of the Goldra valley.

The use of the existing stone walls creates an interesting strategy to overcome the slope of the terrain, since it goes down smoothly to the lowest level.

As people walk along the path, they disappear and reappear behind the stone walls at specific points where you can enjoy the beautiful views of this hill.
